The 6ft 4in centre-back has been a regular feature of Tony Pulis’ side so far this season and has produced a number of very impressive performances for the Championship promotion hopefuls.
Unsurprisingly, the 21-year-old’s exploits at the Riverside Stadium have attracted the interests of several top-flight clubs. As per the aforementioned report, Premier League outfits Liverpool, Chelsea, Tottenham Hotspur and Bournemouth have all been keeping an eye on the youngster’s progression, whilst Celtic are also hopeful of tempting Fry north of the border.

The reigning Scottish champions will certainly be in need of new defensive recruits soon with a number of their current defensive contingent looking set to leave the club in the foreseeable future.
Exits on the horizon
Impressive summer arrival Filip Benkovic is expected to return to Leicester City at the end of his loan spell. Meanwhile, Dedryck Boyata – who endured a turbulent summer and start to the season (The Times) – could well push for a move away from the club once more before long.
If these exits come to pass, Brendan Rodgers will have big holes to fill in his backline. Buying a young, up-and-coming player with plenty of potential would probably represent the wisest course of action for the former Liverpool boss as such acquisitions promise plenty of resale value.
England under-21 international Fry fits the bill perfectly in this respect and represents an ideal starting point for Rodgers’ rearguard rebuild.
