According to Football Insider, Tottenham are keeping “close tabs” on Sporting CP prospect Rafael Camacho.
What’s the word?
The 19-year-old only joined the Portuguese side last summer from Liverpool in a fee reportedly worth £5m.
However, Football Insider now claim Spurs are closely monitoring the attacker “amid indications he may be interested in a swift return to the Premier League”.

The report further claims that in Sporting’s recent game with Portuguese giants Benfica, Spurs are believed to have been amongst a host of big clubs across Europe who sent scouts over to watch the match.
Promising player
At just 19, Camacho still has plenty of time to grow and develop as a player. The fact he failed to make the grade at Liverpool shouldn’t be a negative on the part of the teenager.
After only making two appearances for the Reds’ first-team in his time at Anfield, the Portuguese prospect took the brave decision to leave the club and seek out first-team football. He could quite easily have just stayed put and earned a living, but instead, he prioritised the development of his career.
Who is that?! Nobody has been able to name the teams all of these obscure managers were once in charge of…
And his decision has been vindicated with the opportunities he has been given at Sporting this season. He has played 19 times across all competitions, and featured in six different positions, proving his incredible versatility.
Bringing him back to the Premier League could give Camacho that vital chip on his shoulder about wanting to prove his former employers, Liverpool, wrong. And that could work out spectacularly in Spurs’ favour.
Meanwhile, Tottenham fans react to this ace’s display against them in the FA Cup.
