Purchased for just £3m from Deportivo last summer,Schar has been one of the Magpies’ standout players of the season, impressive fans with his calmness and quality on the ball.
His latest goal – an absolute thunderbolt against Burnley – has now been crowned February’s goal of the month.
The incredible rocket that flew past Tom Heaton at the near post was Schar’s third goal of the season, and fans are full of praise for the 27 year-old.
