da stake casino: Amidst Arsenal’s struggles defensively this season – they have conceded 27 goals in just 18 Premier League games – their failures in front of goal have rather gone unnoticed. Despite boasting the likes of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang (last season’s joint Golden Boot winner) and Alexandre Lacazette amongst their striking ranks, the Gunners have been goal-shy for the majority of this campaign.

They have netted just 24 times – the same amount of goals scored by newly-promoted Aston Villa, who are currently 18th in the league. And so whilst defensive reinforcements would no doubt be welcome, it is little surprise to hear that the north London side are on the look-out for another forward.
According to Sky Sports, Arsenal are considering a January move for Bayer Leverkusen forward Kevin Volland, with the report claiming that the £31.5m-rated ace has been watched by scouts over the last few matches and “is expected to be among the names put to new head coach Mikel Arteta”. And after hearing the links to the ace who has scored seven times this season, Gunners fans flooded to Twitter to voice their thoughts on their potential transfer target.
Some fans of the north London side were left fuming with the reports, insisting that their priority in the transfer window should be to add some new defenders or holding midfielders.
A few Gunners supporters also felt that the club are targeting the wrong Leverkusen player, with a couple even mentioning Kai Havertz as the man to bring in.
With Arteta the club’s new head coach, the Spaniard will no doubt want to stamp his imprint on the side, and the opening of the January transfer window allows him the first chance to do so in terms of recruitment. If Volland is a player the club believes can help fit into the culture he is looking to build, then the Gunners hierarchy would be wise to act upon it.
Meanwhile, Mikel Arteta’s job at Arsenal may not be as difficult as it seems.
